Professional Contract

We are extremely delighted to have Madilyn (Maddie) Wilson join Gartcairn. The management team have watched Maddie play on a number of occasions and were very impressed with her defensive abilities. Madilyn has signed a professional contract with the club. Signing a professional contract allows Madilyn to concentrate on her football and ongoing studies at University, without the pressure of trying to obtain a part-time job and juggle all three. Football is now her part-time job.

It is our vision to help support young Scottish players to flourish both in their education and football with part-time professional contracts. Both myself and my backroom team are looking forward to working with Maddie over the coming years, to continue to develop her, both as a person and a football player."

Maddie said "I’m so excited to get started with Gartcairn and think it’s a brilliant club. I’m excited to see how I progress here. After having conversations with coaches and staff I think this will be a great team for me to develop my style of play and learn from coaches and fellow teammates. I’m lucky to have been given the opportunity of working with such a great group of players and coaches and can’t wait for the season ahead."
